Music On The Launde is an all new big band, jazz and soul music event delivered by Funky Abbey Festivals the events arm of Funky-tents.co.uk with 50% of all profits being donated to the Launde Abbey charity.
A stunning Saddlespan tented stage structure will be the centre point of the event, with the Abbey acting as a majestic back drop.
The Bands: The aim is to bring a great mix of Big Band, Jazz and soulful Jazz into one event. We will update you as bands are confirmed, but we can reveal that The Leicester Big Band have already committed to be a key part of this all new 'Music on Launde' picnic and music event along with funk soul brother. We will also being having choral group 'Singing for fun'
Bring Your own Picnic or order one of our Hampers: The audience can make themselves comfortable with their own picnics and rugs, or alternately pre order one of 4 different picnic hampers when booking their tickets and have them presented on arrival at the event.
Food & Drink: In addition various locally sourced foods, bottles of fizz and specialist beers will be available on the night for adults and bottles of ginger beers and cordials all locally sourced will be available for the children.
Gazebos for hire: Funky lite pop up tents these are pre built and command a great viewing position, ideal for upto 12 seated.
Fireworks: Then finally there will be a great fireworks display to light up the Abbey and grounds.
Ample Free car parking: Available on site and please remember this is an outdoor event so be prepared for both the best and worst of English weather.
